Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19): two case reports from a family cluster

: The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a new infectious disease, firstly appeared in Wuhan city and has rapidly spread to 114 countries outside China, which receiving worldwide attention. As two important means of examination, computed tomography (CT) real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) have always been controversial the clinical diagnosis COVID-19 pneumonia. Here, we report family cluster case father son diagnosed as at our hospital, described manifestations, laboratory results, CT changes, treatment strategy these patients. Focus on value methods diseases, well their respective deficiencies. For patient 1 (father), efficacy RT-PCR not satisfactory either terms or follow-up, may cause misdiagnosis delay treatment. 2 (son), symptoms were obvious, but imaging clearly displayed dynamic changes lung lesions. Meanwhile, patients respectively underwent five chest examinations during hospitalization discharge showing potential harm radiation. Therefore, work, doctors should make full use advantages RT-PCR, take other measures up for disadvantages.
